Note: the live-translation mod has not been added yet
Everyone joins the server, nervous and not really knowing what's going on. They all spawn on this sort of platform in the middle of the sky, and Quackity stands on a sort of stage, welcoming everyone. One by one, everyone stands on the stage and introduces themselves in their non-native language, those that stream in Spanish introduce themselves in English, and those that stream in English introduce themselves in Spanish.
There are a few moments where people try to break the ice, but everyone is excited and curious as to what's going to happen.
The screen fades to black and a cutscene plays:
It's the rest of the documentary that was teased earlier before fading to a train traveling down the track.
When the cutscene ends, the players find themselves teleported onto the trains, split into two groups, the right (East) train and the left (West) train. Left train has Bad, Luzu, Quackity, Mariana, DanTDM, Foolish, Jaiden, and Missa. Right train has Philza, Wilbur, Maximus, Spreen, Roier, Vegetta, Slime, and Fit.
As the train headed down their respective tracks, they had a bit of time to get acclimated and meet each other before the screen fades to black and another cutscene plays.
This one shows the trains traveling down the track to a train station where the QSMP logo is introduced. However, just as the passengers arrive, a massive wall rises from the ground, effectively splitting the island in half. The train pulls into the station, and each side heads out into a dark and empty train station. Quackity mentions that there was a "bad guy" who separated them but doesn't elaborate in the chaos. A timer starts for five minutes.
They soon find a book with instructions to complete a puzzle. They need to stand on specific colored pressure plates in a certain order in a certain amount of time. Both teams fail, and another cutscene appears. A duck wearing a red bowtie appears welcoming them to Quesadilla Island, and asks them to restore power to the island. The video glitches, giving them coordinates to head to, a different set for each respective side.
The island itself is decrepit and sad-looking, overgrown with weeds and long grass. There are various buildings scattered around the immediate spawn, all of them empty and in various states of decay. They find a book asking them to locate twenty water-wheel parts to help restore the power. They can't break anything, and must explore the island. Once they get a little too close to the wall, they can hear the other team on the other side, but that's as far as interaction can go. They find the planks, fix the water wheel, and lay cables across spawn to the wall to give it power.
When both sides have completed the task at hand, the island turns to daytime, and the duck reappears via cutscene. It congratulates them and thanks them for their help. But, there's a couple of things the guests should know. There is a massive wall dividing the island. As of now, there is only one rule, that they can never break it. The duck becomes sad, the music distorted, and the duck is now standing in fire.
They are to never cross the wall, as it was built to keep them safe. So, if they end up finding a red button, they should not press it.
At this point, they can finally break blocks and play the game. However, almost immediately, both teams find the red button, very high up on the wall.
They want to press it, Vegetta immediately building up to push it on the East side, Jaiden on the West side, Roier and Spreen close behind. When Vegetta presses it, it starts to beep before the section of wall under it disitegrates, allowing both sides to finally meet up. Immediately, another cutscene starts with the Duck appearing again. He's distraught. They broke the only rule, and he has to tell them the bad news. They can never leave. But since they can never leave, they can make themselves comfy! They can start by building a permanent home! And remember, enjoy the island!
Now truly able to play the game, most players start messing around with the mods that were added, looking at all the different blocks and furniture. One mod in particular stands out. When someone loses all of their hearts, they don't immediately die, they fall into a bleeding state, laying on the ground until someone comes and picks them up. If someone doesn't pick them up in a minute, the person dies and then respawns, leaving behind a corpse with all of the items to help with cleanup and lag.
People begin to branch out into different areas and groups. For the most part, people hang out with the other creators whose name they recognize or with creators who share the same language.
