Now Tommy's really getting unmotivated. After their daily ritual of destroying all of Tommy's things, Tommy mostly follows Dream around like a lost puppy. Sometimes Dream cheers Tommy up, like that time he gave Tommy his riptide trident for Tommy to play around with in the ocean, but there's always remarks about how Dream is Tommy's only friend and Dream is looking out for Tommy. That's why he goes through so much trouble visiting him everyday. He even lets Tommy keep some of his stuff from time to time instead of blowing it up like normal. Their friends.
Dream allows Tommy trips to the nether when he's there. Tommy traces the path along bridge he's made between his Logstedshire portal and the main nether portal. Maybe people aren't coming to visit because it's still not a safe pathway. He beefs up the path by making it wider and adding arrows that point to the Logstedshire portal.
At one point, Tommy bridges out from one of the structures and looks down into the pool of bright orange lava below. It's so bright and alluring that it overpowers the light Tommy has on for his webcam, casting his face orange in the glow.
Dream notices what Tommy's doing and nudges him back to a safer place.
"No, Tommy. It's not your time to die."
"It's never my time to die."
Eventually, Tommy gets so fed up with how he's living his life that he begins to stockpile resources that Dream won't destroy. He hides them in a small room underneath the Logstedshire camp and Ghostbur's house. Dream will never find them there.
