Jack, Ranboo, and Tubbo are messing around outside the prison when they see the death message in chat. They decide to check it out.
As they get down to the prison, they find Sam emerging, looking distant and in shock. Sam tells them that Dream killed Tommy and took his last canon life.
Jack immediately turns introspective, thinking that this is what he's ultimately wanted. So why does he feel so numb and hollow now that Tommy's dead? He takes a walk around the server and realizes that Tommy was one of his only friends on the server. He changes into his old L'manberg uniform for memory's sake and continues his stroll.
He finds Ranboo planting flowers outside Tommy's dirt house.
Quackity wants to meet up with Jack to discuss the partnership with Las Nevadas. But Jack simply doesn't have the motivation to, and he tells Quackity what happened. At first, Quackity doesn't believe him, but when he realizes that Jack is serious, he leaves to think some things over.
Jack also runs into Antfrost, whose eyes are now a deep red. Jack tells Ant about Tommy, and Ant lets him know that they (the eggheads) will be celebrating later.
Now that Bad and Ant are prison guards, they head over to the prison to find a distressed Sam. Sam lets them know what happened and asks them to let Sam Nook know. They head over to the hotel to pass the message along to Sam Nook, but Sam Nook won't hear any of that. He only says that if they have further questions for the hotel, they should wait until Tommy comes back.
They leave the hotel and meet up with Punz to celebrate Tommy's death (all under the influence of the Egg, of course).
Puffy and Foolish find out about his death. They both decide to make memorials for Tommy. A few other members make memorials and statues outside Tommy's house.
Ranboo reflects on how much Tommy meant to him. Tommy defended them back when they burned George's house down. He didn't have to do that. Ranboo collects more flowers for Tommy's house. They find an allium in one of Tommy's chests, one of the first things he gave Tommy on the server. After all this time, and all the teasing Tommy gave him, Tommy still kept it.
Ranboo meets with Sam and tells him that he should've had more precautions in place in the prison to prevent something like this from happening. Sam apologizes and debates about taking Dream's last life as punishment. He'll probably end up witholding food from Dream for the time being.
Ranboo wants to help find out who set off the explosion, bringing up that Tommy covered for him during the trial when they burned George's house. In a way, Ranboo blames themselves for the series of events.
Sam asks to see Ranboo's memory book. In it, he writes that it was Sam's fault that Tommy died.
Tubbo makes a memorial for Tommy in Snowchester. He then makes an investigation room to put together evidence as to who blew up the TNT and locking Tommy in the prison in the first place. He comes to the suspicion that it was all a ruse put on by Sam. He also suspects Techno since Techno is missing some gunpowder and also owes Dream a favor. Tubbo gives up since he doesn't have enough evidence.
