Bad is preparing for the Red Banquet, showing off the decorated table and dance floor. He's disappointed that a lot of the bloodvines have been cleared from the server, but it was all in preparation, all part of the plan. The Egg speaks to Bad, untranslatable to the audience. It sounds wicked, sharp, like the flickering of a snake's tounge. Bad backs up, telling the Egg to calm down, that it doesn't need to be so harsh and keep saying it.
Bad spots Skeppy's nametag hanging by the Egg, and he goes over to try to talk to him. Skeppy brushes him off, telling him to get lost and that all he wants to do is hang next to the Egg. Bad sighs and tries to get closer, that he's just worried about Skeppy and his health, that he doesn't have to spend all of his time next to the Egg.
Bad tries to get Skeppy to go for a walk, but Skeppy refuses. Skeppy shuts down any attempt Bad tries to make and ends up pushing him away. Nothing would make Skeppy leave the Egg's side.
Bad respects Skeppy's wishes and leaves, commenting that everything he's done so far has been for Skeppy and it's just so frustrating. That he knows that the Egg is just misunderstood and that the Banquet is to show exactly what the Egg is about and what it wants. But Bad doesn't like how much time Skeppy hangs out by the Egg now. Because, after all, the Egg probably wouldn't have survived Quackity's explosions if it weren't for Skeppy sitting near it.
Bad tries again, asking if the decorations look good. Skeppy flatly tells him they look fine. The more Bad tries to interact with Skeppy, the ruder and more blunt Skeppy becomes. Bad checks the decorations again, but most of his things on his to-do list is done. Still, Bad tries to interact with Skeppy, asking his opinion on a statue of Red Skeppy he built. Skeppy tells him to stop talking.
As Bad checks on the perimeter, he asks Skeppy if he'll join since there could be a flaw in the walls somewhere. Skeppy asks if Bad will finally leave him alone if he does, and Bad agrees. Reluctantly, Skeppy climbs down from the Egg and gets snippy when Bad takes a second to marvel in amazement. The Egg starts to voice its concerns, and Bad bites back, telling it to be quiet. Skeppy defensively asks who Bad was talking to, and Bad says you should know, and then corrects himself by lying about a bat in the cave.
They finally go for their walk around, and Bad asks for Skeppy's opinion on the statues, the dance hall, and the banquet table. Skeppy cuts him off and asks where the mistake is because it's feeling like Bad is lying and manipulating him to keep him away from the Egg. Bad is quick to direct him to one of the far away walls to point out that it looks too perfect. Skeppy doesn't understand the problem and starts heading back to the Egg.
Bad panics and reaches out to him to stop him, accidentally calling Skeppy "Ant". Skeppy realizes the slip-up and walks away, refusing to hear Bad's apology. Skeppy heads back to the Egg and sits down on top of it.
Bad tries to explain that Skeppy's been spending all of his time with the Egg and asks if he thinks it's good for him. Skeppy says that it is, that the Egg is good for all. For once, Skeppy invites Bad to hang out with him on the Egg and gets a bit mad at Bad's hesitation. The two sit down on the Egg for a bit before Bad sighs. He knows Skeppy's having fun but it's just...
Skeppy asks him if he feels the Egg, if he really feels the Egg. Of course Bad feels the Egg! The Egg speaks up, as if trying to catch Bad in the lie, and Bad tells it to be quiet. Skeppy takes offense, saying that he never should have invited Bad over. Bad gets upset, leaving to finish the preparations himself. Skeppy welcomes it.
Bad once again tries to convince Skeppy that his habbits are unhealthy, but Skeppy aggressively shuts him down each time but not for long. Soon the two are arguing to the point their friendship is called into question.
"You don't have any power over me. You have absolutely no control over any part of me,--" - Skeppy
"Skeppy, it's not about power!" - Bad
"--and anything you say is irrelevant."
"Oh my goodness. It's not about power! It's not about control! I'm your friend, Skeppy!"
"I mean, you can think that.... You can think whatever you want in your silly little mind, okay? It doesn't matter to me."
"No! We're friends, right?"
"Sure."
"Sure?!" That's it?!"
"You can call it whatever you want, alright? In your head, we can be best friends, okay? We can be friends for life. Just leave me alone."
As the argument gets more heated, Bad ends up physically getting in between Skeppy and the Egg, hitting him and pushing him to keep him away. Skeppy calls him out for hitting him, and the fact that Bad can never understand the connection Skeppy has with the Egg. The fact that Bad left him alone inside the Egg for so long that it's the only thing he wants now, it's the only thing that will never leave him. To want anything else for him is just selfish.
"The Egg is more than just quote 'a friend,' and the Egg is more than life itself. Don't you understand? Don't you feel it? You never- You wouldn't understand, just go away..... You don't know what it's like!You don't feel this feeling! It's a feeling you can't describe! It's an inner feeling within. But I wouldn't have expected you to feel anything of the sort." - Skeppy
Concerned, Bad continues to push and hit Skeppy away from the Egg, trying to explain how much he sacrificed for Skeppy and this is how he returns the favor?!
Bad hits Skeppy away from the Egg. "I have had enough!-"
"-You use and abuse me-"
"-Your attitude-" Bad hits Skeppy away from the Egg again.
"-You keep hitting me and you continue to do so!"
"You will tell me right now-"
"I'm not going to raise my voice at you because we are just going to go back and forth-"
"No!" Bad pushes Skeppy again. "You are going to tell me right now, tell me I am your friend! Skeppy, tell me I am your friend right now!" Bad pushes Skeppy again.
"Yeah, my best friend! My best friend hits me! My best friend uses me!"
"What?! Hits?! Do you know the sacrifices that I have made to hang out with you?!"
"Sacrifice?! You think you made any sort of contribution?! You think you've done anything!? You seriously think that?!"
"Do you know what I have done to hang out with you?! To make sure that you were protected from the other people on this server?! So much!" - Bad
"You left me for a long long long time before you even checked up on me, okay? Now all of a sudden you care about me? All of a sudden, we're best friends, and all you have is my best interests? I don't think so." - Skeppy
Bad gets a bit choked up. "Skeppy, I just wanted us to hang out like we used to."
"Yeah, well, time's change. And so do people. Get used to it."
"I just... I didn't want... Like, I did all of this for you, and I didn't want the Egg to take that away." Bad sounds like he's on the verge of tears.
"Do you hear how selfish that is? You're trying to take away what I enjoy and what I like for your own benefit?"
As the argument grows, Bad hits a tipping point. In a fit of rage, Bad shoves Skeppy one last time, right into a small pit of lava, making not only Skeppy lose a life, but himself as well.
Distraught, all Bad can do is yell at the lava that he's sorry and regret what he's done. The screen cuts to black.
Art by @especdreamy on twitterIn the darkness, we can hear Skeppy taunting Bad and trying to get him to respond. His voice has the old joking lilt to it that he used to have pre-Egg. The camera turns on. Skeppy is blue again, staring right at us.
However, Skeppy grows concerned as Bad doesn't answer him. The camera changes perspective, showing Skeppy looking at an empty room. The camera moves farther back, revealing that Skeppy's standing in someone's house. Even farther, and it's shown that he's on the small island that he and Bad built back in Season Two, Big Daddy Island.

Puffy, Foolish, and Sam prepare for the Red Banquet. However, they don't exactly trust Bad and Ant, so they stash some weapons and armor in the Red Banquet table in the Egg Room. They almost get caught a few times, but they manage to successfully sneak in and out undetected.
Tubbo heads over to Pogtopia to meet with Tommy and finds Ghostbur hanging out at Wilbur's shrine. He invites Ghostbur with, and after collecting some weapons, the three head over to the watchtower to build a TNT cannon to break into the prison. As they test the cannon, the loud explosions scare Ghostbur off but draws in a curious Ranboo. The three perfect the cannon and plan their break-in.
