Forever's Leave

Content warning/Trigger warning: This page will talk about grooming, pedophilia, and suicide. If that makes you uncomfortable, please head back.

January 5th, 2024

Accusations arise the night of January 4th into January 5th from an account that is well-known for trying to dig up dirt on the Brazillians because they hate them (xenophobic). This account uncovers old tweets from Forever (20 years old at the time) that talk to and about a friend who was 13/14 at the time in a very sexual and disgusting way, calling himself a pedo in jokes, publicly making sexual advances towards her, and meeting up with her in person. Here is the document link if you want to read it: PDF.

Of course, people were very hesitant to start accusing Forever of something that might be taken wildly out of context considering the source, but even without context, the tweets are very poor taste and most agreed that Forever shouldn't have said them in the first place. However, some people bring up that in poorer areas of Rio de Janeiro (where Forever is from), jokes like these are very common, as the age of consent is supposedly 14. But even then, some people bring up that it was always disgusting, keeping their views aligned with the general consensus that the age of consent should stay at 18, anything below that is gross.

Later that day, January 5th, Forever goes live for 30 minutes, talking about what went down on Twitter for about 5 of those minutes. He talks lightly of the situation, saying that it was all Twitter drama distorting his image, and that he has nothing to hide. In fact, he has the names of the people who ran the account who dug everything up, and he's going to sue them for defamation. Besides, they were all jokes anyways. He also mentions at the end that they don't want to have another Cheriqo (I'm sorry, I'm not sure of the spelling) moment, implying that he could commit suicide over it. It's a gossip twitter who falsely posted that a girl (not cc-facing or online creator) was dating a Brazillian content creator. Because of the harassment she faced online, she commited suicide. Forever then talks about his next big project coming up for the remainder of the stream.

His stream did not go over well. Many people, even after translating it, were appalled at the complete lack of seriousness that this topic deserves. He's facing heavy allegations and did not try to explain himself at all, immediately getting defensive and threatening to sue and kill himself. Even as people tried to explain where he was coming from and how normalized jokes like that were in 2016/17 in Rio, his attitude about it just felt wrong.

Later that night, Forever deletes 900+ tweets from before 2018, erasing any further evidence.

January 6th, 2024

Forever goes live again with a much more somber attitude. He says that he didn't realize the extent of the tweets and that he clearly doesn't hold those beliefs anymore. He was dumb back then and shouldn't have made those jokes. However, he is still contacting a lawyer to sue those who dragged up the tweets.

This stream went over a little better but still not good. Forever had also been canceled in the past for making racist and homophobic/transphobic remarks. He has since apologized in much of the same way, recognizing that they were dumb and he shouldn't have said that. Some people want to believe that Forever has genuinely changed and bring this point up.

However, Forever continues to like Twitter threads that agrue pro-pedophilia and threads that make light of his situation. This gives further evidence that he doesn't really think he's sorry, and that he might not have changed.

People start speculating that something went down behind the scenes on the QSMP discord server or in dms because a lot of members mass unfollow Forever on all accounts - Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, even banning him from their chats. Philza, Cellbit, Baghera, Quackity, pretty much everyone who was at the Alps meetup. Even Brunim, a long-time friend and coworker, unfollowed him, taking the ship name out of his bio on Twitter.

A lot of people took this to mean that even if it was normalized at the time, this was not acceptable, going so far as to trust Brunim's judgement on the matter. It was speculated at the time that Forever was getting kicked from the server, but many were still waiting for official confirmation before making a declaration one way or another.

Many people also bring up the point that the victim wasn't the one who made the original statement. In fact, she didn't want any of this to come to light simply because she didn't want the negative attention and that she had moved on from the horrid mess. Bringing this up now would accomplish two things: 1. Getting the justice the victim deserves in that he gets deplatformed, and 2. Drawing attention to past behavior will prevent future victims. As far as we know, Forever was not actively persuing underage girls, so the second point wasn't helpful. And as the victim didn't want to be involved, she negated the first point. Therefore, people just felt icky about the entire situation and the reason why it was brought to light at all.

The QSMP team quietly removes Forever from the list of creators on qsmp.co.

January 10th, 2024

Forever goes live with the announcement "My final leave from the QSMP." He plays a prerecorded video with English subtitles. He is very somber, apologizing for the jokes, taking responsibility that they were shitty and in bad taste, that he shouldn't have made them, and he's a changed person. He pulls up the main screenshots in question and explains that the victim in the photos/screenshots was a family friend, he knew her family and was much more respectful in their dms and texts. He never went to meet up for sex, only meeting up in groups with her in them. He was a small creator at the time, who was friends with all of his twitter followers, and jokes like that were a normal part of their friendship.

He also apologizes for his initial response as it was immature as he also didn't realize the full extent of it when it happened. That's why he deleted all those tweets so people couldn't spread stuff around further. He just assumed it was something small blew out of proportion and took care of the source to prevent further damage.

He says that Quackity and the QSMP team have officially kicked him from the server, and to not harrass the team. He respects their choice and maybe some day he can be let back on.

Finally, he says that for all the people telling him horrible horrible things, stalking his girlfriend, if he's still alive at this point, he wants to say he's sorry/thank those close to him for helping him through this.

At the end, he plays a montage of all of his best (solo + Richas) moments from the server. At the end, he plays part of the twitter teaser announcing his return but it suddenly cuts to black with a shotgun shot. QForever is officially dead.

The admin team blow up or world edit any and all Forever builds that they can find. His base is gone. Most of the Favela is deleted. The tall buildings on the beach are gone.

Players tiptoe around what happened. Bad burns his flower-of-the-day backpack. People toss out any photos or canvases of him. They ignore the presidential office building right near spawn.

The fandom is a wreck. People are mass-deleting things left and right. Archives of photos, fics, art, vods are gone, never to be recovered. People debate about erasing official archived things like wiki pages or official vod links, but Forever was such a fundamental part of QSMP in 2023 that it would be doing a huge disgrace to preservation if they did.

Forever's girlfriend deletes/deactivates all social media due to harassment.

The victim makes a final statement. First, she doesn't want anyone to attack Forever because no one deserves to hear bad things. She then gives some context. She was 13 at the time, and a fan of a small group of creators from Brazil who made Minecraft Youtube videos. She began to follow them and reply to their tweets on Twitter. The person she was in contact with the most was Forever, who had a fuckboy/flirty persona online.

They moved their conversations to dms and texts, where when she was 14 at the end of 2016. They started meeting up, once in 2016, twice in 2017, and one final time in 2019. (Note, the word she uses directly translates to "stayed" as in, he stayed with her in 2016, but native speakers have said that it's implied that they hooked up instead.) They have also flirted while in front of her family members.

She once again reiterates that she didn't want to bring it up, as she's still sensitive about it, and that no one should be harassing Forever, his girlfriend, or his family.

As of now, January 25th, 2024, the majority of the fandom are disgusted by his actions, are glad that he was kicked from the server, and will probably not support him in the future.
